The clients wanted their newly built, developer-grade bathroom turned into something the developer never imagined: a personal luxury sanctuary. This high-end residential renovation in London moves well beyond the property's original specification, trading builder's neutrals for depth of colour and genuine vintage character.
The reimagined layout is built around daily wellness rituals. A spacious walk-in shower sits alongside a generous jacuzzi bath, bespoke double sinks and a dedicated dressing table with proper task lighting, each given room to breathe rather than squeezed against a wall.
Hidden storage runs throughout, keeping the calm intact and the clutter invisible. Modern amenities, including a toilet with integrated bidet, sit against the clients' own collection of vintage furniture, art and greenery, so the room reads as theirs rather than a showroom's. The result is a spa-like retreat that works as hard as it relaxes.
Green sets the register. Glazed tiles laid vertically wrap a curved shower enclosure, slab marble runs veined and wild behind reeded glass screens, and the round fluted bath sits centre stage in warm white stone under an alabaster chandelier. An Art Deco stained glass window throws amber light across the marble floor, while walnut cabinetry with lit niches keeps every ritual within reach and out of sight. Brass carries through it all: taps, rails, sconces and mirror.
